Five $2,500 scholarships for full time students are available for fall 2010 semester and awards for part time students are also available. Scholarship recipients must commit to volunteering or working for a non-profit green organization. “The education that these students will receive in the art and science of plants, and the added commitment of service re-enforces the belief that NCCC horticulture is about educating a workforce that will help build greener communities,” NCCC horticulture program coordinator Carolyn Stanko said.
Applications are available at http://www.niagaracc.suny.edu/scholarships. The due date is May 17, 2010. For more information, please contact Carolyn Stanko at 716-614-6423 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
