|Marvin Lunenfeld Beautification Grant Applications|
Garden Walk Buffalo has granted around $100,000 since 2005 in Marvin Lunenfeld Beautification Grants for nearly 100 beautification projects to block clubs and community groups in the neighborhoods of Garden Walk Buffalo. Marvin Lunenfeld, and his wife Gail McCarthy, were the founders of Garden Walk Buffalo.
Award amounts are based on the overall project cost, eligible projects are required to include matching funds from government, private contributions or volunteer sweat equity.
Garden Walk invites you to complete an application for review for the 2017 grant cycle. Past projects have included streetside planters, hanging baskets, storm damage repair, historic garden restoration, annuals for planters, community gardens and much more. Completed applications are due by Tuesday, February 21, 2017. Winners of grants will be announced in the early spring of 2017 at a Garden Walk Buffalo Committee meeting to be announced.
Application Guidelines and Directions:
Garden Walk Buffalo, Inc. provides small-dollar grants, not to exceed $1,000. Groups and projects must meet the following criteria to be eligible for a Marvin Lunenfeld Beautification Grant:
In addition, the group must submit proof of the project’s completion to the Beautification Grants Committee by September 1, 2017, including, but not limited to, photos of the completed project, copies of receipts, and a financial accounting of the completed project.
